Noida Societies — What's Different
Most Noida Expressway societies (Mahagun, ATS, Gaur, Supertech) require a formal move-out NOC letter. Submit at least 3 days before your move date. Without this, your mover's truck may be turned away at the gate.
Most high-rises have one service lift. You'll get a 2–3 hour slot. Book with your RWA office at least 48 hours in advance, or your goods will be carried by stairs — at your cost.
Noida Extension (Greater Noida West) societies enforce strict 10 PM noise curfews. Plan your delivery to be complete well before then or your unloading will stop mid-way.
Noida Authority roads restrict heavy vehicles (above 7.5 tonnes) during peak hours (9 AM–11 AM and 5 PM–9 PM). A 14-ft truck may get stopped at the sector entry. Your mover should know this route.
Some Noida societies charge a move-out maintenance fee (₹2,000–₹8,000). Check your lease agreement and ask the society office before your move date — not after.
Greater Noida West (Noida Extension) buildings often have smaller lifts that can't fit large sofas, double beds, or wardrobes. Your mover needs to plan for stair carries on these items.
Gurgaon Societies — What's Different
DLF, Emaar, Vatika, and M3M societies routinely charge ₹5,000–₹20,000 in move-out maintenance deposits. Some are refundable, some are not. Read your agreement carefully.
Before your mover arrives at the new Gurgaon society, you need a move-in NOC. Many societies require you to submit a police verification form and deposit clearance from your previous society.
Premium Gurgaon societies (Golf Course Road, Sohna Road sectors) restrict service lift access to 1-hour booked slots. A 2 BHK typically needs 3–4 hours. Book multiple consecutive slots well in advance.
Moving a truck on Golf Course Road during peak hours (8–11 AM, 5–8 PM) is extremely slow. A 20-minute journey can take 90 minutes. Your mover must account for this in scheduling.
Sectors 82–115 (Vatika Chowk area) are still developing. The internal roads are rough and the area is far from arterial roads. Movers unfamiliar with the area will get lost and arrive late.
Many Gurgaon societies lock delivery gates at 8 PM sharp. If your truck hasn't finished unloading, your goods stay in the vehicle overnight. Always confirm gate timings before planning your move.
What a Good 2 BHK Moving Day Looks Like
- 7:00 AM — Crew arrives at your current flat. Walkthrough and inventory confirmation before a single item is touched.
- 7:30 AM–11:00 AM — Packing and loading. A trained 4-person crew can pack and load a standard 2 BHK in 3–3.5 hours.
- 11:00 AM–12:30 PM — Transit. Most Noida/Gurgaon moves within the NCR are 45–90 minutes by truck.
- 12:30 PM–4:00 PM — Unloading and placement at the new flat. Furniture assembly, appliance placement, and box arrangement room-by-room.
- 4:00 PM — Inventory check with you. You sign the delivery receipt only after confirming everything is present and undamaged.
Documents to Keep Ready on Moving Day
- Move-out NOC from current RWA (if applicable)
- Move-in permission from new society
- Written quote / contract from movers
- Inventory list signed by packer supervisor
- Copy of your lease agreement for new flat
- Emergency contact for mover supervisor + owner/landlord of new property
